About the Department

The Cardiometabolic Marketing Team leads the US marketing efforts for Novo Nordisk's robust cardiometabolic product portfolio, which includes world class therapies for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. As part of the team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our portfolio vision, business strategies, and tactical plans that drive our business forward. You will help to drive the NNI portfolio and Brand strategies to ensure the products reach the people who need them most.

The Program

At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to kick-start their careers by working closely with experienced industry professionals and gaining valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten weeks, beginning June 6th, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, career presentations by senior leadership, and a guided mentorship program to offer professional and personal development.

In addition to individual department responsibilities, interns will participate in the Innovation in Action Case Competition. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative and comprehensive solution to a business problem currently facing Novo Nordisk. At the conclusion of the program, teams will present their findings to a board of top Novo Nordisk officials representing the various lines of business.

The Position

The Consumer Marketing intern will be focused on optimizing key aspects of the product initiation experience for consumers in the Obesity Therapeutic area. The intern will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating existing affordability material for Saxenda® patients and gaining patient and field insights to recommend and implement optimizations. Collaborating closely with our Patient Support Program Team to review, discuss, and understand reporting on co-pay/affordability adoption by type. To help with brand planning, the intern will lead early experience brand planning for Obesity, including partnering closely with Patient Support Program team and patient experience acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) to propose marketing tactics in alignment with strategy. The intern will maintain relationships with agency partners to ensure alignment on strategy and respective projects, monitor affordability material inventory and plan/react accordingly, manage and track budget to ensure projects are being conducted as planned, and making adjustments where appropriate.

Qualifications

* Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred

* Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

* Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail

* Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task

* Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers

* Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
