Conveniently located in Montreal's Cité du Multimédia, the (COMPANY NAME) office is easily accessible by metro (Square-Victoria-OACI station) and several bus routes. The working hours are flexible and occasional remote work is possible.
A technology room, nicknamed the D-Shop, is accessible to employees who wish to explore new technologies (Rasberry Pi, 3D printer, breadboard, sensors, and so on) for their personal projects. Additionally, during your internship, you will be able to attend occurring (COMPANY NAME) events, such as, volunteer day, developer conference, programming contests, and trainings. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
During your internship, you will contribute to one of (COMPANY NAME)'s most successful cloud solutions by working on (COMPANY NAME) Integrated Business Planning (IBP) which is part of the Digital Supply Chain. IBP consists of new and innovative business applications which dramatically improve planning and forecasting processes. These processes are based on (COMPANY NAME) HANA and are delivered to the cloud. Another example is real-time analytics, which provides immediate insight and fosters faster decision making using the latest (COMPANY NAME) UI technologies (FIORI).
In addition to being part of a Scrum team and developing using Agile methodology, you will have the chance to collaborate online using several recognized tools, such as, (COMPANY NAME) Jam, Gerrit (code review for Git), Slack, the (COMPANY NAME) Co-Pilot digital assistant, Atlassian Jira and Confluence. You will also be able to participate in all development phases, progressing from design and coding to testing and support.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about quality engineering and who want to work with young, dynamic and autonomous teams.
As a software developer (intern), you will join a team of experienced colleagues and you will participate in the following tasks:
* Designing and implementing (code) new features
* Producing high quality software by practicing unit testing and integration
* Being a part of a Scrum team working in Agile mode with Jira virtual Scrum boards
* Being flexible and open to taking on additional tasks or challenges based on your potential
* Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP)
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Functional English; French is an asset
The following skills are an asset:
* Experience with Scrum, TDD
* Knowledge of Jenkins and Git
* Bachelor's or Master's (ongoing or recently completed)
* Field of study: computer engineering, software engineering or computer science
* Know-how of the (COMPANY NAME) software development process is appreciated
