Graphic Design Intern

Job Description:

We2 is a socially responsible design studio that specializes in producing communication materials for humanitarian organizations. We are seeking a talented design intern to join our team and assist in creating engaging and creative designs for our clients. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on client projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of communications design.
The tasks and responsibilities of the internship will include:
• Assisting in the creation of infographics, presentations, charts, maps, and vector artwork for usage in publications, posters, leaflets, and digital platforms.
• Researching for inspirational works and resources for projects and general improvement.
• Collaborating with the design team to understand content-specific goals and potential problems.
• Learning and using the InDesign and Illustrator best practices: As an intern at We2, you will have the opportunity to learn and use best practices for InDesign and Illustrator, two of the most widely used design software in the industry. Our team will provide guidance and training to help you enhance your skills in using these programs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in graphic design, art or a similar field of study.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of fundamental design principles, such as hierarchy, typography, and color theory.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (notably InDesign and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office 365 is a plus.
• Interest in working in a socially responsible environment and wanting to have a positive impact on the world.
• Able to work well in a remote setting and adhere to deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Desire to learn and grow in the field of design.

This internship is a great opportunity for a design student to gain experience working on projects in a socially responsible environment. The internship is unpaid, but we offer the opportunity to receive academic credit if it is applicable to the candidate's program.
