About the Role:
As a Business Sales Analyst, you are part of our Key Account Retail team in the Sales Belux Department.
You will have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to our team by playing an important role in tracking data, performing in-depth analyses, building reports and generating insights. On top of this, you are also responsible for tracking and evaluating competition activities.
You will be working closely with and add value to the Key Account Managers and their Sales assistants, but you will also play a coordination role with other departments such as Field and Trade Marketing.
Your proactivity, relationship and analytical skills will be key to success in this function which is a new position being created.
Main Responsibilities:
One of the main responsibilities will be the analysis report. Working with the analytics teams (in Trade Marketing & Forecasting), you will streamline data collection and analysis processes. The collaboration with these departments and the KAM will be key to share data and insights to facilitate understanding of business evolution. Further, you will analyse retail data provided by Power BI and Nielsen to compare selling-in vs selling-out, but also data provided by GFK or IPV data to identify significant trends (penetration, frequency, shopper profiles, …) and patterns. With the KAM support, you will provide reports and identify the reasons and benchmark of our competitors. If needed, you will customize reports per retailer to proactively propose some action plans to the business to facilitate strategic decision-making by the management. With the support of the Channel Manager, you will generate some new KPI dashboard for all types of Modern Trade & HD clients. This will require the creation and use of data visualisation tools to present information effectively.
Moreover, you will be in charge of certain qualitative projects and follow ups. This includes tracking activities of competition (assortment, promotions, activations, …), such as benchmark on competitors' websites and social networks with the support of the field team to check competitors' attitude and inform the KAM team during the weekly meetings.
You will take on an ad-hoc support role in managing seasonal assortment and will be asked to back up the KAM assistant if needed.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a young graduate holding a Master's degree, ideally in management or economics, with a first internship experience in a commercial or analytical function in a FMCG Business Unit.
You show a strong desire to drive your future and accelerate your career in a fast-paced environment.
A strong analytical mindset with the agility to switch from one tool or client to another and the ability to work in a structured and accurate manner are crucial for this role.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of motivation and curiosity, driving them to work in a result-oriented and resilient way.
Further, being well organized is key when it comes to the management of deadlines, multitasking and monitoring several clients at the same time.
As a real team player, you are sociable and know how to effectively communicate.
You are familiar with Excel (Pivot Table, V/X Look Up…) and eager to learn to use additional tools, such as Power Bi, SAP, and Nielsen.
We are seeking a candidate who is proficient in French, Dutch and English.
