General information:

Diamond V is an international business offering an exciting and challenging technical sales related role in Germany with focus toward the ruminant industry. Diamond V lives by a set of core principles that values sound science, integrity, respect, stewardship, and nurtures a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.

Along with other German colleagues, this individual is responsible for the Germany market for Diamond V. The Technical Service Sales Manager coordinates and leads Diamond V business and sales development in Germany in primarily dairy and Beef and in the southern Germany region. This role will have considerable autonomy and accountability to work closely with the rest of the team and with our business partner in the region to jointly build Diamond V's business in the ruminant market in Germany. Activities include but are not limited to sales and market growth planning, demand generation, visiting customers and prospects, giving key technical and sales presentations, providing technical support, conducting trainings, understanding customer needs and representing Diamond V in trade shows and important events.

General accountabilities:

80% Business Development & Technical Support

*
Develop annual plans to achieve growth aspirations and strategically determine go to market approach to achieve growth aspirations
*
Helps coordinate/lead Diamond V business & sales development in Germany towards: primarily dairy and beef
*
Coordinate activities with our exclusive business partner for Germany
*
Visit customers and prospects (farmers, dealers, feed mills, premix companies, etc.…) in Germany - give presentations, provide technical support, and help grow the business
*
Able to conduct on-farm trouble shooting and consultancy
*
Cooperation with feed consultants to improve client performance and animal health
*
Initiates, coordinates and produces marketing support material and training activities
*
Develops and executes on an annual business plan for Diamond V business in Germany with Provimi France as the business partner
20% Marketing

*
Maintains and improves marketing proficiency by attending and organizing appropriate business partner, industry and producer meetings & seminars
*
Maintains a high level of effective communication with end users, industry contacts, European Regional Director and appropriate people within Diamond V global team
This position reports to the Diamond V Regional Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum Required Qualifications

*
Bachelor, master or doctorate degree in animal science or animal health - this role places a strong focus toward ruminants, with opportunity to expand into other species
*
Minimum of 5-year work experience and a relevant network in the animal feed & animal health industry in Europe, preferably with French key opinion leaders
*
Able to interpret relevant developments in the market and respond properly by organizing activities, develop marketing pieces, provide customer value and follow-up
*
Fluent in English & French, other languages beneficial

Passionate about being part of the Animal Agriculture industry, and working in the field in a technical commercial related role; comfortable/effective in closing a sale
*
Strong written and oral communication skills, comfortable presenting to an audience, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; will be asked to learn CRM
*
Excited to work in an international environment for an USA-based employer
*
Valid drivers license, good driving skills, passport and insurable
*
Over-night travel up to 50
