WHAT TO EXPECT
As Agile Delivery Lead you will form an essential part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process within a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best in class digital solutions. This role provides a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow an entirely new Agile software delivery capability within (COMPANY NAME).
Working within the Programme Management Office in a supporting function the Agile Delivery Lead will facilitate and support Agile and Scrum practices throughout the business, ensuring at all times that best practices are adhered to. As the Agile Delivery Lead you will be the Agile and Scrum Subject Matter Expert and step into the position of Scrum Master to demonstrate the capability, providing effective training ensuring that the trained individual is able to step into the Scrum Master position.
The successful candidate will lead stand ups with multiple engineering teams, acting as a site leader for the Agile process, reporting into the programme teams ensuring that processes are running effectively and providing coaching where needed. Running "Scrum of Scrum" sessions with multiple Scrum Masters, working with teams to manage backlogs and working with stakeholders throughout the business, collaborating to guarantee effective delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You will need demonstrable experience managing Agile project delivery through software development teams and a clear understanding of the fundamentals of iterative software development and incremental delivery. Experience working in a Scrum Master role alongside software development teams is essential, having successfully applied Agile, XP or Scrum techniques, including introducing Agile techniques, ideally having coached teams to ensure practices are applied effectively.
You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with a multitude of people across the business, including senior stakeholders and be capable of exercising conflict resolution. A clear advocacy for Agile methodology and a coaching ability, with an eye for process, reporting and analysis. Experience undergoing a Waterfall to Agile transition previously would be advantageous.
