The Nutrition Specialist is responsible for supporting the growth of the business by providing nutrition expertise & guidance on our brands & supports the influence of the external environment impacting our brands & our reputation. Part of the multi-market nutrition team that delivers this support (nutrition science, nutrition marketing, nutrition policy and regulatory affairs) to marketing & other functions.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Development of key consumer materials & resources, corporate and brand websites. Provide nutrition expertise to support local activation of brand and business plans, implementing faultless execution of commercial toolkits.
Strengthen the nutritional strategy of the company by providing local market nutrition intelligence, trends and insights to Cereal and Snacks BU, for all innovation and brand and marketing communications.
Build and protect our reputation by managing rapid responses to marketplace nutrition challenges and complaints. Recognize opportunities and minimize potential risks related to our brands and product communication and advertising.
Direct responsible and rapid response to customer care line enquiries for market cluster. In case of crisis provide technical support information and continuous work alongside the person in charge of Communication and Nutrition.
Represent the company in key sectors (government, academia, health professionals, industry peers, trade associations, media, customers) to actively defend/promote our reputation and enhance Kellogg's ability to do business.
Strengthen nutrition environment providing tools, training (modules), competitive intelligence, trends, resources and expertise.
Ensure 100% compliance for the business for nutrition regulations and self-governance. Localization and submission and substantiation for advertising copy with consequent loss in volume, damage to brand and corporate reputation.
Support the local health care professional for stakeholder influencing plan, aligning with Cereal and Snack Business Units for key themes and tools. Build and maintain network of nutrition scientists, professionals and industry peers
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in the role, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Qualified University Education degree in bioscience education (e.g. Nutritionist, food science and technology, biochemistry, public and community health).
More than 3 years in similar roles with food industry experience, comprehensive industrial/commercial experience combined with excellent understanding of business needs, communication and influencing skills.
Strong applied understanding of relevant regulations and food law (local and EU) with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure & demonstrated ability to manage many projects & timelines.
Fluent in local language (Italian) and English. Portuguese and/or Spanish highly desired.
