Job Description:

The process engineering supervisor (PES) is leading Continuous Improvement (CI), Process safety Management (PSM) and providing key users for large expansion projects. The purpose of this position is to improve the plant into best in class in terms of efficiencies, EHS, quality and throughput. The PES achieves these aggressive goals by applying the Lean&stable ops methodology and by implementing sustainable and embedded improvements. Also, the PES needs to be an inspiring role model for the team and set clear targets. The PES has 5 process engineers at his/her disposal to achieve these goals and is part of the location's MT.

Principal Accountabilities

* Identify and lead multidisciplinary teams to initiate and actually manage cost saving/avoidance and/or reliability improvement projects. Cost savings are to be expected in the domain of yield, downtime avoidance, vary cost reduction etc. (30%)
* Apply Lean methodology, like Kaizen including VSM, SIPOC, 5S, RCA, Poka Yoke etc. to day-to-day operational issues and drive for excellent&lasting results (30%)
* Develop/revise annual and 3-year plans to meet business needs. These plans need to be developed based on COE requirements, identified CI projects and regulatory needs. (5%)
* Ensure the process engineering team works according to agreed-upon standards. (5%)
* Ensure the process engineering team's skills, knowledge and engagement remains at desired level. These performances need to be monitored and acted upon if applicable based on the available KPI's. (10%)
* Ensure continuity and balance of various skills in the process engineering team. (10%)
* Ensure proper implementation of new products, technologies, processes and projects, including procedures, manuals and training. (10%)

Candidate Requirements:

Education or equivalent experience:

* A master or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, bio-chemical engineering, electrical engineering (or similar)
* Minimum 5 years (preferably 10 ) of relevant working experience in plant operations environment at Supervisor II or equivalent level
* Knowledge of oils and fats chemistry and processing
* Knowledge of quality assurance systems and processes (like HACCP)
Skill requirements:

* Proven affinity & experience with working in a cross-functional setting
* Proven ability to introduce sustainable change - leading to noticeable and measurable bottom-line impact
* Experience in project management and applying PPM/PDP principles
* Excellent written and verbal communication & reporting skills
* Fluent in local language
* Fluent in English, written and oral
