Diving in at the deep end, you'll join our Growth Marketing team to help (COMPANY NAME) expand into 2020 and beyond. As a CRM/Email Marketing Specialist, you'll work with our CRM Marketer to generate email leads, launch Email, SMS and Push campaigns, and guide our rider's journey to help (COMPANY NAME) deliver sales and an unbeatable customer experience. Primarily, you'll use an analytical and creative perspective to build optimal customer communication strategies, establishing the why, when, how, and whom. You'll need to partner with other teams to do this as smoothly as possible, and then get your hands dirty to make it happen.
You don't just love the creative side of CRM (crafting and building the customer journey), you have a keen eye for numbers and data, and love analysing results to find out what we're doing right, and how we can improve.
Naturally, you'll need to find change and big challenges exciting, as you'll need to proactively engage in new endeavors, re-evaluate key decisions, and improve the way we go about CRM. You'll collaborate with the operations, brand, support, retail, and digital teams, sending out communications in their stead.
As a scale-up, we're on course for hyper growth. You'll need to take us even farther and faster. Your primary objective is to improve our CRM efforts, and you should have a keen interest in analytics and experimentation. We like self-starters that are able to formulate clear goals and KPIs. But it's more important that you are curious, eager to learn, and ready for new challenges.

What you'll do

* Working end-to-end on promotional and transactional CRM projects for multiple countries - from segmenting the database and sourcing creative assets, to building and launching the program.
* Proactively working with our content marketing team to generate content (i.e. lead magnets, email copy, assets etc.) and with our digital team to build solutions (tool functionalities, front-end development etc.).
* Running lead generation and data enrichment projects to grow, maintain and optimize our database.
* Working with key stakeholders, evaluating requests, identifying opportunities and acting on them.
* Helping to shape our strategy in email, SMS, push and cross-channel flows
* Ensuring our ESP (assets, segments, campaigns, reports, etc.) is organised and up-to-date.
* Helping to keep our CRM activity compliant (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.) across all the countries we operate in.
* Taking on ad-hoc (cross-team) tasks/projects where needed.
* Keeping on top of CRM admin such as: updating weekly reports, importing event leads, regular testing of established flows, reviewing survey results, and keeping our team's Asana board up-to-date.

Who you are
* 2+ years of hands-on experience in CRM and email marketing.
* A self-starter mentality, capable of working in an agile, cross-functional team.
* Great organizational chops - can manage multiple projects, communicate to stakeholders effectively, meet deadlines and maintain a can-do attitude.
* Experience building campaigns, automated flows, audience segments and reports with an ESP like Klaviyo.
* A customer-first attitude - always looking for better ways to communicate with our riders and fans.
* A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

* Experience generating email leads, through on-site and/or paid media is a plus
* Experience with experimentation and optimization is a plus

* Basic knowledge of markup languages and javascript.
* Basic knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus
* Basic understanding of consumer funnels and flows is a plus
* International experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
* A masters degree in a relevant field (i.e. Marketing) is a nice-to-have.
* Excellent oral and written English is required. Oral and written Dutch (or German, Japanese...) is a bonus.
