Run Support Manager

The Modelling Platform Team is accountable for the run and development on our Actuarial Modelling systems which have users in the UK, Europe, Asia and Canada. The role is required to manage and lead run services for all applicable Actuarial Modelling Systems. Ensuring that the integrity of all production system is upheld, quality services are delivered, and all parties are working to ensure the stability of all systems.

We have a vacancy for a Run Manager which sits within the Modelling Platform which is part the wider Data and Analytics Platform team. The wider team is a shared service which supports the UK (Life and GI) and Group and offers support outside of the UK in specific areas. The role is to manage the run side of the Modelling Platform.

Duties & Responsibilities
* People management for 6 Run Analysts
* Accountable for the run integrity, security and stability of all systems
* Responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting on the performance and meeting service targets
* Deliver operational expertise
* Demonstrate visible leadership and (COMPANY NAME) values
* Accountable for the delivery of insight and support to the Business users
* Work closely with 3rd party providers ensuring service levels are maintained
* Managing multi tenanted environments with varying requirements

We would also like you to:
* Able to ensure that service targets for each system we support are met
* Able to manage a team based in two countries (UK and Poland) demonstrating visible leadership that aligns to (COMPANY NAME) values whilst keeping morale up in a fast-paced team
* Able to consider the needs of the customer and be prepared to challenge decisions that are not in their best interests
* Able to address vulnerabilities within SLA
* Able to work with projects to ensure that change is supportable and can be delivered into live within agreed timescales

Skills & Experience required
* Proven Incident management experience
* Tenacious ability to manage issues to agreeable conclusion
* Able to hold technically discussions, both IT and business focused with both finance and IT directorate.
* Demonstrable experience of building relationships with global customer base, leading a support/service team and Vendor management.
* Experience of managing complicated technical environments, ideally with AWS cloud experience
* Working closely with 3rd party providers, SLA experience knowledge
* Ability to handle conflict at a senior level
* Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
* Analysis, planning and scheduling aligned to strategic awareness applied to all aspects of the role
* Understanding of Change and/or IT frameworks, ITIL exposure ideally
* Understanding of how to define and manage risks, issues and interdependencies as they relate to projects
* Negotiating, influencing, effective challenge and gaining commitment
* Knowledge of key factors influencing our business and the IT industry
* Leadership and mentoring skills
* Use of JIRA, Assyst, Monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Appdynamics, Cloudwatch etc
