The Mission

It ensures we only do business with people and companies we have verified as being trustworthy.

This includes carrying out customer due diligence checks, updating customer files, screening customers and transactions, monitoring transactions and reporting suspicious activities.

The Global Know Your Customer organization is a first line department providing the (COMPANY NAME) business and functions guidance with standardized solutions in the area of various KYC related regulations (on process, control, and digital solutions, etc.) as well as support to realize operational excellence.

We are looking for a product owner who will be part of this global organization, but work from Bucharest, joining forces with the rest of the 1000+ colleagues here who work on different strategic (COMPANY NAME) initiatives.

He/she will be involved with the development and maintenance of global data solutions on socially relevant topics such as Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing, Fraud, Sanctions and their global implementation across 20+ countries, affecting 36 million (COMPANY NAME) customers. Through this we will be able to deliver our customers fit-for purpose KYC Data whilst remaining compliant and in control of our risks and processes on a global scale. As such, you will be working with many colleagues from different disciplines, geographies and backgrounds.

Your day to day
Even if you'll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office's garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:
* Articulate the product vision while capturing input from the stakeholders;
* Provide continuous coaching and mentoring by clarifying job responsibilities, setting performance expectations through the establishment of goals and job competencies, identifying skill gaps, creating development plans and evaluating performance;
* People Management of Project Managers coordinating complex IT Delivery initiatives, located in Romania;
* Support the organization in realizing large and complex changes through your own contribution or the contribution of your chapter members;
* You are responsible for the roll-out of one of the Global KYC Digital Service in one or multiple business lines (Wholesale Banking, Challengers & Growth, Market Leaders);
* Contribute to strategy and lifecycle management of data delivery portofolio;
* Identify gaps with your team and drive improvements initiatives;
* Help the team to improve performance by learning from mistakes and find ways to bring lessons learned by other teams to your chapter;
* Empower people to use feedback as a powerful mechanism that drives progress in the organization;
* Assess the efficiency of end-to-end operational processes by identifying and mitigating risks;
* Collaborate closely with an international team made of IT Area Leads, Chapter Leads, Product Owners, Agile Coaches, Business Analysts, Architects, ETL DevOps engineers and Infrastructure Specialists;
* Safeguard usage of Agile - Scrum principles in day-to-day work of the team;
* Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and trends in the areas of Project Management and Data Management;
* Report on the progress and communicate the dependencies and impediments to stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the team
* Experience:
* People Manager of a Project Managers team;
* Technical background on data management or another technical area;
* With Agile - Scrum methodology;
* You have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in coordination of strategic initiatives or progams;
* In Banking industry is considered a plus.
* Skills:
* Experienced in Project Management, Program Management (objectives and requirements facilitation, planning, delivery tracking, go live and hyper-care execution and coordonation);
* You are an efficient people manager with steering and driving skills for both people and objectives;
* You have strong communication, presentation, networking and influencing skills;
* You are a self-starter with a good ability to learn new content quickly and transfer it;
* Consulting mindset including an ability to think about Data Management in a way that is abstracted from how business functions currently operate;
* You share and adhere to the (COMPANY NAME) values of honesty, prudence and responsibility;
* You actively seek help and feedback but are also not afraid to give feedback;
* You are comfortable to work in an ever-changing environment and can inspire others to apply problem solving solutions when dealing with challenges;
