Job Description:
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Assess, develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring skills in activities of self care, daily living, work activities, leisure and play.
* Provide functional, cognitive and perceptual assessment and training of daily activities, facilitate work rehabilitation, prescribe and train in the use of assistive technology or devices, and apply ergonomic principles to performance of occupations.
* Educate and provide training for family members and caregivers on interventions and care giving skills.
* Contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.
Job Requirements:
* A diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by AHPC
* Team player, possess good interpersonal and communication skills
* Patient focus, genuine desire to make a difference
* Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
* Passionate about building a healthcare career, inspired to move ahead with challenges, possess a 'can-do' attitude, able to thrive in fast paced environment
Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
