The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of suspension system tuning components and subsystems into vehicle programmes. The majority of these components and subsystems shall be physical hardware. Examples include ASU, Air Pipes, Air Reservoir and Air Valve Blocks.
The role will also deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time and lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes. The successful individual will work with module lead engineers and technical specialists to ensure that valid content is specified, to manage specific elements of the supplier delivery against this specification and arrange verification activity to support the vehicle program which meets the programme requirements for quality, cost and time.
The successful candidate will contribute to the negotiation and agreement of targets for the component or sub-system and ensure all programme deliverables are tracked, monitored, delivered and reported accurately and on time at each gateway and organise and lead appropriate interim review events. Furthermore, the successful candidate will contribute to the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes and Cycle Plan studies, using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles in conjunction with other company processes as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing resolutions of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment with a good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes. A comprehensive technical understanding of fluid / thermal dynamics will be required in addition to previous experience with MATLAB Simulink.
