We're building the next generation of devices and experiences that make people feel closer together, which we call Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR). The AR/VR organization includes Oculus and Portal products, AR and VR software and content, and research and development labs. AR/VR Marketing is responsible for bringing a consumer/user perspective to the development of our products and accelerating their adoption through famous and effective marketing. The AR/VR International Social Marketing Manager will partner with internal teams and agency partners to develop social content, lead community management and evolve our social media strategy in EMEA and Japan markets. We're looking for a strategic and creative individual who can balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term program activation. In this position, you will be based in our London office and work with marketing teams in the US & Japan to develop best-in-class social marketing for Oculus & Portal

AR/VR INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL MARKETING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

*

Partner with cross-functional teams, including North America Social Marketing Managers, to develop social content for Oculus & Portal social channels (e.g. Product Marketing, Creative, Sales, Performance Marketing, Communication Planning).

*

Pioneer and evolve our social strategy for how to engage followers across channels, including (COMPANY NAME), Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Twitch, Pinterest, Tumblr & Discord.

*

Identify and implement social processes to drive efficiencies and best-in-class work

*

Define and drive the editorial calendar to support/execute campaigns and evergreen content across key channels, ensuring our work adheres to brand guidelines and localization requirements.

*

Lead/manage regional agency partners & in-house creative teams.

*

Partner with marketing sciences counterparts to analyze and report on the performance of owned social channels to measure the effectiveness of our efforts, with an emphasis on continuous optimization and iteration.

*

Collaborate with paid media team to design on-platform paid social strategies and tactics for EMEA & Japan

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*

6+ years managing owned social channels within tech, digital assistant, gaming or entertainment industries. Experience managing regional agencies in EMEA and/or Japan is preferred.

*

Experience building agency relationships in EMEA and/or Japan markets

*

Experience influencing organizational change

*

Experience leading agency partners/in-house creative and inspiring them to make the best work for our social channels.

*

Proven record of creativity and innovation in the social media space.

*

Ability to work in regional time zones (Menlo Park & Tokyo), while based in London, with quarterly travel to each region

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

*

Experience in AR/VR or related fields

*

Fluency in French, German and/or Japanese

*

Experience supporting large-to-mid scale industry events, e.g. CES, E3, Gamescom and Oculus Connect
