Deutsche Bank's Commercial Real Estate Group (CRE) provides financing solutions to private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, public companies, and other professional investors across the European commercial real estate market, spanning all major asset classes.

The London team is seeking a Vice President / Director to join our origination and underwriting team.

Your key responsibilities
* Originate, underwrite and execute new deals, including both external representation as well as presenting opportunities to the senior members of the team
* Lead execution of financings across all asset classes, ranging from acquisitions, refinancings and recapitalisations to take-private financings, with a variety of instruments from bilateral or syndicated loans, structured instruments to capital markets / commercial mortgate-backed securities (CMBS) distribution
* Own the detailed work product, including review and stress-testing of cash flow models, capital stack analysis, internal rate of return (IRR) sensitivities and related credit materials
* Manage day-to-day client engagement and negotiations with sponsors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders
* Manage transactions through internal approval processes and coordinate closely with relevant control and partnership functions
* Prepare syndication materials, case studies, and marketing presentations

Your skills and experience
* Proven commercial real estate sector knowledge, including direct experience in real estate financing and a good track record of execution on transactions across multiple product types
* Demonstrated ability to assess credit and asset-level risks through rigorous due diligence
* Good understanding of real estate valuation methodologies
* Excellent analytical capability, with strong attention to detail and advanced modelling skills
* Strong client presence, with the communication skills to discuss with sponsors and legal counsel and proven ability to mentor and develop junior bankers across multiple live transactions
* University degree or equivalent relevant industry experience and additional language skills would be advantageous
