About the role
The Mobile Product and Pricing Team provide a central strategic and commercial leadership role to the (COMPANY NAME) UK Enterprise Business Unit.
Working within the pricing element of the team you will have exposure to a wide range of functions across the business. You'll bring knowledge, insight and business judgement to all product discussions.
The team takes the lead in identifying market trends and ensuring the mobile portfolio of VFUK addresses these trends, You will also be required to work hand in hand with our product managers to frame commercial propositions and ensure we have set a standard price that delivers value to both VF and our customers.
The Mobile Product and Pricing team is at the forefront of enabling sales to engage with customers. Team members become subject matter experts with an unrivalled breadth of knowledge across our product portfolio and therefore we are uniquely placed to influence and drive customer value/business growth.
The pricing specialist will support product managers with the full life cycle of a product including supporting and maintaining relationships with both direct and indirect Sales Channels through ensuring commercials, collateral's and sales tools are constantly up to date and position (COMPANY NAME) in a winning position in the market.
The products and commercial packaging must be easy to understand by the sales team but more importantly by the customer, enabling the Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) to drive the required sale growth in the DB.
The Pricing Specialist is accountable for driving the P&L via constantly checking the market relevance of our product & pricing and ensuring that they are commercially viable and aligned with the strategic direction of the business.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
* Alongside the relevant Product Manager set the market exploitation strategy for the chosen products.
* Through detailed competitor price positioning analysis ensure that the products are priced to win in the market.
* Leading the development of business case's to be signed off by senior management
* Providing support and resolution on product & pricing queries.
* Reporting on product performance and KPI's across volume, revenue and mix.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Solid experience within Telecoms
* High level of cross functional stakeholder engagement and mathematical ability.
* Experience of engaging with Senior Management
* Excellent analytical/problems solving experience
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Good knowledge of Telecoms market
* Advanced Excel skills
* Business Objects/SQL Skills
