Market Development Manager- SMN
Responsible for managing a team of Market Development Representatives in lead generation efforts and related activities. Reports to the Market Development Director
Responsibilities: Productivity and Performance Motivate and lead a team of Market Development Representatives to deliver qualified opportunities in order to meet the Appointment and Sales Working goals for your team (SB/MM or NAT). Manage the entire appointment setting process, ensuring leads are followed up in a timely fashion and SLAs are met, appointments are well qualified and 80%+ progress into the sales cycle. Have a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" in executing initiatives to drive pipeline. Finds new ways of getting more productivity from the existing team. Use a creative mindset in thinking about driving MDR productivity and pipeline growth.
Create reports and deliver weekly performance and productivity metrics for the individuals and team. Measure process and performance, with a continuous focus on improving efficiency and EO quality. Required to provide updates on performance against quota to the Market Development Director and Senior Sales Leadership.
Required to manage and develop Market Development staff through proactive performance management.
In partnership with the Market Development Director develop incentive programs for the team to keep the team focused and motivated MDR Development Coach 3-8 Market Development Reps to ensure they exceed revenue and productivity goals. Develop and lead coaching programs and conversations for all MDRs. Lead quarterly (COMPANY NAME) Talks with MDRs. Support setting development plans and goals for direct reports. Provide regular informal and formal performance feedback to direct reports. Cross Functional Alignment Work effectively with sales & marketing teams to keep them on informed on MDR progress and discuss new ideas and initiatives to improve EO performance. Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create and implement MDR programs to source new opportunities. Work with the Marketing team when we run sales events to ensure we get to our target registration and attendee goal. Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities in target markets. MDR Training requirements Stay on top of training requirements for the team liaising with the Sales Success Manager. The MDR Manager will be jointly responsible for creating new training content and delivering this to the Market Development team when required. On-call coaching with MDRS to better their prospecting, outreach, and discovery efforts
MDR Recruitment Work with talent acquisition to interview potential candidates for future MDR vacancies Participate with cross-functional teams as needed to further sales initiatives.
Experience: · 1+ years of experience of leading a team as a manager; · 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced technology/SaaS company · 2+ years of experience in the MDR role · BA/BS or equivalent experience · Ability to pass a background check
