Project Monitoring and Control Professional
Would you like a highly varied role working within a fast paced environment? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Monitoring and Control Professional at our site in Preston.
As a Project Monitoring and Control Professional, you will have the responsibility to facilitate and support the governance structures, processes and forums that enable controlled certain project delivery with effective financial, risk, opportunity and quality reviews throughout PPM.
You will also deliver the reporting obligations that provide the right information to the right people at the right time to underpin effective governance of PPM.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of customers and projects
Your main responsibilities as a Project Monitoring and Control Professional will involve:
Facilitating and supporting the governance structures, processes and forums Run and maintain Enterprise IT Services (EITS) Portfolio Management governance meeting, reporting and financial calendars
Facilitating of EITS governance meetings: organisation of attendees, preparation of agendas and collation of presentation material, action capture
First line help desk support for MyPlan users ( MSP Service PWA ) create new projects update , query resolution, end user administration
Setting up project workspace sites for new projects Maintaining PPM Workspace site
Providing support and guidance on process, policy and procedure through knowledge shares and to the PPM community
Delivering the reporting obligations, KPI's scorecard and other formal management information that provide the right information to the right people at the right time to underpin effective governance of PPM
Strictly adhere to, communicate and enforce reporting cut-off, ensure timely availability of all planned PPM external reporting to Business Group Leader and other senior. On a weekly fortnightly, monthly and quarterly basis
Identifying and put into practice ideas and opportunities for reporting quality and clarity
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience of producing operational and management information
Experience of dealing with query management and supporting Project Managers
Practiced knowledge of project management processes for control and monitoring
Competent knowledge of project management lifecycle and change management processes
APMP qualification or equivalent
Strong Excel skills
Competent in meeting facilitation
Strong IT literacy and awareness of market trends and emerging technologies (e.g. virtualisation, information and content management)
Experience of providing support and guidance to ensure processes are being adhered to
