Our (COMPANY NAME) operations team is responsible for the global operations of our Commercial, Consumer, Services, (COMPANY NAME) Business Solutions, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) businesses. Operations Finance is a global organization with teams located in Redmond, Reno, Ft. Lauderdale, Puerto Rico, Dublin, Luxembourg, Espoo, Istanbul, Delhi, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Beijing. Operations Finance delivers cost optimization, operational strategy development & implementation and business insights in order to drive competitive advantage and compliance within our accounting, revenue recognition and tax models. Operations Finance is central to enabling new business models, business transformation and emerging market development. Operations Finance also leads (COMPANY NAME)’s licensing and partner audit function which is a significant compliance motion for the company.

The Controller team is part of the Finance Department and ensures the accounting and analysis of S****’s statutory financial statements.  Skype was founded in 2003 and has statutory subsidiaries in Luxembourg, Sweden, Czech Republic, Estonia, UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and the US. You should be involved in various project support, statutory financial statements preparation, analyze and review accounting entries, assist in the preparation of internal reports, participate in month end close process, monthly balance sheet reviews, assist the team on various other tasks, including helping organize the Finance team offsite events, learning weeks and lunch & learns.
The Revenue team is part of the Finance Department and ensures the accounting and analysis of SS**** kype Revenue. S****’s biggest revenue stream is made of communications sold directly to users on S****.com. Partner revenue includes a variety of revenue streams e.g. any retail sales where third parties provide access to new markets, and promote the S**** brand and the S**** products (regional partners, resellers and retailers). Partner revenue also includes indirect monetization such as licensing and advertising. You should be involved in Revenue related contract review, Being a key contact for external partners to make sure that all reporting, invoicing and collections are handled as smoothly as possible, Sales activity analysis, and the reconciliation of internal and external data, Being a key contact for internal stakeholders (FP&A, Accounting Policy and Business teams) for the operationalization and management of new revenue streams, Preparing the correct journal entries for such streams and ensuring proper accounting, Controlling the retail and promotional voucher process, Participating in month end close process, Improving work flow and tools for better efficiency, Assisting the Revenue team on various other tasks, including helping organize the Finance team-building offsite event and learning week

Candidate Requirements:


    Pursuing a full time Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in Finance or Accounting related fields
    Desire to build a long-term career at (COMPANY NAME) in a similar function, particularly as part of our full time (COMPANY NAME) Academy for College Hires (MACH) graduate program

    Demonstrated ability in program or project management, preferably in the technology field
    Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, including the ability to comfortably communicate with senior management at (COMPANY NAME)
    Strong analytical and strategic thinking, but also not afraid to act
    Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, deal with ambiguity, make trade-off decisions, meet deadlines, and drive for results
    Available to start in July or September 2017
    Fluent in English, additional European languages could be an advantage
    Full work authorization to work in Luxembourg
