We are looking for an experienced Senior (COMPANY NAME) Application Technology Specialist (f/m/d) with a passion to optimize the operations concepts for the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) Netweaver and non-Netweaver based solutions.
You will work in various projects to optimize the concepts how HANA Enterprise Cloud operates the various (COMPANY NAME) solutions. This can include working on changing setup guidelines, validating new application versions, designing work instructions for changing certain configurations etc. For operations cases causing severe customer issues you will also contribute to Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis activities. As part of this you will also design and implement counter measures to prevent repetition of the issue for all HANA Enterprise Cloud customers. As part of your job, you will also focus on designing and conducting knowledge transfer to the global Operations community and create technical documentation, incl. technical operational concepts, process flows and guidelines.
Experience (Role Requirements):
* Solid hands-on experience with (COMPANY NAME) technologies like (COMPANY NAME) NetWeaver, Web Dispatcher, Business Objects solutions, (COMPANY NAME) HANA etc.
* Good understanding of the (COMPANY NAME) Basis systems both on Operation system level as well as inside the (COMPANY NAME) system.
* Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in a hosting environment
* Work experience in Cloud Operations for running applications systems on a large scale
* Experience in ITIL and IT Service Management processes such as Incident Management, Event Management / Monitoring, Change Request Management. Experience in creating and analyzing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports
* Experience in writing technical concepts, such as Knowable Base Articles, Wiki pages, BLOG entries etc.
* You should have very good analytical and solution-oriented thinking as well as very good communication, presentation and networking skills.
* Working effectively in international and virtual teams should be something you are used to do.
* Fluency in English language - German skills highly beneficial
About the Team & Line of Business
Within the Product Engineering board area, the mission of the Hana Enterprise Cloud (HEC) Delivery organization is to run and operate (COMPANY NAME)'s private cloud offering. Isolated private cloud landscapes are built for customers both in (COMPANY NAME) owned datacenter as well as on IaaS infrastructure provided by hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (AWS). HEC delivered services include backups, patching, provisioning and upgrades, restore and disaster recovery, infrastructure monitoring and event detection. Services are delivered from all regions (EMEA/MEE/AMER/APJ) having a strong international focus and cultural diversity.
As part of HEC Delivery, the Netweaver and Non-Netweaver Technical Area is supporting our operational teams to reduce outages and operational effort as well as to increase customer satisfaction. The team is the interface to product support and product engineering for various (COMPANY NAME) and non-(COMPANY NAME) solutions and driving projects such as improving monitoring and tool integration, Admin Access Management, providing guidance on release strategy, extending knowledge transfer into distributed operations teams as well as running various inhouse tools.
