Position Summary

To strengthen our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for an Innovation Manager - Analytics Technology to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department

Reporting to the Analytics Technology Product Group Manager you will facilitate the identification of new data and analytics technology and solutions. You will ensure that multiple ideas are constantly generated and tested for this scope, keeping in mind both technical and economic viability. You will generate demand and sustain a pipeline of opportunities aligned with the Analytics Data & Integration stream strategy. You will also be responsible for ensuring that proven ideas can be easily and successfully industrialized. This includes analytics technology and data foundations as well as analytical solutions. You will inspire and foster an innovation and entrepreneurial culture leveraging innovation and lean agile approaches. You will manage stakeholders on innovation topics relating to data and analytics technology. You will support on-boarding and growth of fellows and actively participate into the Innovation Community of Practice.

Key Responsibilites

* Contribution to the Analytics Data & Integration Strategy
* Formulates and implements the Data & Analytics Innovation strategy with Markets, Business and Function counterparts
* Identifies emerging spaces for value delivery, tracks and vets emerging technologies, secures ownership or privileged access to the technologies that may direct the company's future, and helps address current or future business needs in relation to Analytics Technology
* Manages a sustainable pipeline and portfolio of concepts from ideation stage through in-product group testing, championing breakthrough innovation initiatives and projects, and ensures that they demonstrate the ability to deliver business value
* Creates and manages innovation testing plans with in-scope product groups, Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Product Architects to incubate concepts and accelerate development of high-impact "better, faster, smarter" Data & Analytics products
* Leads integration of consumer research, financial, technology and business product groups and business teams to explore and validate innovative solutions and delivery approaches to Data & Analytics at Nestlé
* Assists in creating annual R&D and innovation plans
* Forges and maintains close relationships and links between industry, research, and academia to encourage increased technology transfer and open innovation, staying up to date with industry trends, start-ups, venture capitalists and innovation of competitors or technology market leaders and translating the insights for the Nestlé context
* Understands IS/IT consumer needs, key market, and cultural trends relevant to business objectives that can be met with Data & Analytics
* Navigates through an untapped business capability or market need
* Establishes productive plans for novel ideas within Data & Analytics space
* Creates new technology opportunities, new directions and awareness of Data & Analytics
* Fosters breakthrough thinking and entrepreneurial culture to identify leading edge solutions and is comfortable to rapidly modify innovative ideas or responses to business (context) changes
* Follows and champions the innovation collaborative process to identify and prove ideas, ease the move and industrialization of the proven ideas or technologies
* Supports the creation of an environment that foster creativity, risk taking and fun while moving rapidly from ideas to proof of concepts and successfully transferring value add to product lines
* Uses actively the open innovation crowd-sourcing platform and facilitates the participation in external ones as appropriate
* Strikes a balance between business need for innovative solutions and the company's investment capability
* Mentors leads to innovation processes and innovation mindset
* Builds and maintains a strong network of academic institutions, innovation laboratories, startups, and industry leaders - stakeholders crucial to the company's data and analytics innovation goals
* Frequently represents the company within partnerships that foster innovation

Required Profile

* B.S. or M.S. degree in related field
* Expert in data and analytics technology and innovation
* Experience in organizing and facilitating ideation workshops
* 5-7 years of leadership of multi-discipline teams in a challenging, fast-moving environment
* Sales, Marketing and Communications: Experience with advocacy, marketing and communications of new ideas or products and conviction that they are critical for business success
* Deep experience of agile / iterative innovation management methodologies (idea to concept to completion, design thinking, lean start-up)
* Deep understanding of product development life cycle, focus group management, customer journey creation, competitive research and customer research
* Experience in effective communication at different level in the Organisation and in English
* Preference to have worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
