What can you expect?

To oversee the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) teams from an administration perspective, ensuring a high standard of GMP Data Management, Initial Analysis, Calculations and Implementation solutions are delivered to Trustees, third parties and internal teams. You will manage all escalated GMP projects, acting as the central point of contact for guidance, resourcing and delivery. You will manage resourcing challenges and embed GMP@PACE improvements to ensure that teams are working in an efficient, consistent and streamlined way. You will report to the Head of Data & De-risking Solutions (DDS) and work closely with senior colleagues across the business. You will need to demonstrate an adaptable and innovative approach to problem solving, along with the ability to manage talent and build relationships based on honesty, respect and encouragement to achieve success.

We will count on you to:
* Ensure the team work closely and collaboratively with the other stakeholders involved in delivering GMP Projects to provide service excellence to our clients
* Promptly manage risks identified in pension scheme data, which may impact on effective project delivery.
* Identify, develop and implement opportunities/ideas for change.
* Direct and own department improvement projects taking responsibility for prioritising highest impact changes, working with the other LOB as appropriate to design, develop and implement the approved solutions.
* Lead on top tier and escalated projects, ensuring that assigned project tasks are completed in line with timescales set out in the project plans or otherwise agreed with the client at the required level of quality.
* Capacity planning and management of available resources across all aspects of service delivery within the team including flexible use across teams to accommodate peaks and troughs in workloads.
* Ensure all teams are meeting their chargeable hours and utilisation targets.
* Own and monitor assigned GMP projects.
* Assess any budget risks and flag with Head of DDS with a clear explanation of the risks and agreed remedial action.
* Ensure client requests for additional work or scheme changes are identified and relevant costs calculated and confirmed.
* Attend project review meetings and project kick off calls for assigned projects.

What you need to have:
* Experience of managing talent, focussing on succession planning, retention and reward of high performers, development and support for any underperformers.
* Relevant experience in leading project based teams with positive approach.
* Experience of driving, developing, and implementing change, including business and processes improvements.
* In depth knowledge of UK DB pensions legislation.
* Experience of Budget management.

* PMI qualifications (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
* Knowledge and Understanding of GMP Rectification and implementation.
