WELCOME TO BASF
In the Dispersions & Resins business, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of resins, additives, and polymer dispersions. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives, printing and packaging products, electronics, and paper. We develop innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers and support them in improving their formulations further.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
At Adhesives II, we work closely with Marketing to develop sustainable and innovative adhesive raw materials that exceed the high technical and regulatory requirements of the market.
Support us within a full- or part-time internship.
* Together with experienced colleagues, you will plan and carry out polymer-analogous reactions on novel polymer backbones to enable crosslinking and post-functionalization.
* You will support kinetic studies in which data on reaction rates and curing behavior is collected and analyzed.
* Gain exciting insights: You will contribute to the characterization of reaction progress and reaction networks.
* We grow with you! To optimize application-relevant performance, you will establish structure-property relationships.
* You will also assist in documenting experiments and consistently adhere to applicable safety and quality standards in your work.
WHAT YOU OFFER
* Ongoing studies in chemistry or a related field
* Ideally, initial knowledge in polymer chemistry
* Understanding of analytical methods for polymers and an interest in gaining deeper insights into these
* Motivation to learn application testing through on-the-job training
* A team player with an open and communicative mindset
