Aprio invites high-potential finance and business students interested in Advisory to apply for the Spring or Summer 2025 Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Internship. We are looking for candidates that want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects. The Spring 2025 (January - April) and Summer 2025 (June - August) Internship Program both provide students with on-the-job training and real-world experiences. Interns get the opportunity to work with small, medium, and large clients and they will benefit from a diverse client base, one-on-one contact with clients and partners, and have the opportunity to develop a solid general foundation.
Aprio's Transaction Advisory Services group has the prime opportunity to have a positive impact on our clients both strategic (private and public) and private equity investor groups operating in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, retail, hospitality, and business services.
With our specialized knowledge, we dive into clients' buy side and sell side transactions and reemerge with important information and ways to insure return on investment. We do everything we can to ensure that our clients make decisions in their best interest.
As an intern in Aprio's Transaction Advisory Services group a typical day might include assisting in the following:
* Financial Analysis: Compile and analyze historical financial data and financial statements provided by buyers and/or sellers. Assess the quality of reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows, highlighting significant trends and overly aggressive accounting policies.
* Due Diligence: Identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess business strengths and weaknesses, and evaluate potential transactions in the context of client investment strategies. Understand customer and vendor trends and other key transaction risk considerations.
* Cash Flow and Working Capital Analysis: Analyze the cash flow impact of capital expenditures and working capital trends and changes.
* Reporting and Presentations: Assist in creating tailored transaction advisory reports and presentations, addressing significant transaction considerations and issues.
* Client Interaction: Participate in meetings and conference calls with Aprio's client service team and executive management of clients. Support discussions with target management and provide negotiating points for valuation and sale/purchase agreements.
* Collaboration and Relationship Building: Foster relationships with coworkers across all service lines of Aprio and with strategic and private equity clients. Participate in a work environment that values and promotes camaraderie, collaboration, and giving back to the community.
* Travel: Travel 15-20% of the time while upholding Aprio's values and reputation.
$26 - $33 an hour
