Description du poste:

The various tasks performed by Atlantic Shores' Engineering Team demand detail-oriented individuals with multi-faceted skills, particularly in-depth technical knowledge, flexibility, enthusiasm for individual and team tasks, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

As an Engineering Intern, an individual will work in a multi-disciplinary team and will play a central role in supporting project design, optimization, value-decision making, project implementation within schedule and budget, as well as reporting and documentation activities. This is a hybrid role that could be based in our Camden, NJ, Brooklyn, NY or Boston, MA area office. Hybrid work requires at least 3 days a week on average onsite.


This position will allow an intern to perform assignments that will develop professional working knowledge and abilities through involvement with a wide variety of engineering activities, all in support of designing and delivering on the Atlantic Shores' offshore wind portfolio generally, or a specific project within same. As an intern, you will exercise limited, but increasing, judgment in performing your assigned duties using methods prescribed by your supervisor.

Typical Activities of the Engineering Intern:
* Support engineering work as related to a specific engineering package ie - foundations, wind turbines, electrical substations, etc.
* Support permitting effort in providing inputs and clarifications to the permitting team.
* Provide design guidance and technical verification
* Actively participate in the development of Scopes of work, in the technical review of proposals, and the selection of contractors
* Review and incorporate inputs from various entities
* Interface with other technical, development, and commercial teams to ensure communication of required inputs and outputs
* Data-based decision making and calculation activities
Working Conditions:
Majority of time will be spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. A small amount of time may be spent on incidental, local travel to Atlantic Shores current and prospective worksites.


Qualifications and Experience:
* Currently enrolled in a four-year program within the study of Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical) at an accredited college or university
* Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in the above field
* Ability and willingness to travel to domestic project jobsites
* Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
* Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
* Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication; presentation skills developing
* Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a collaborative and cooperative team player
* Ability to work in a multi-cultural context and a fast-paced JV environment
* Strong attention to detail and high degree of organizational skills
* Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Exceptional organizational skills; ability to do deep-dives into data/information
* Questioning/querying mind-set
* Good analytical skills
* Interested in energy transition
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a typical office setting on a daily basis. Incidental, local travel to worksites may also occur
