Description du poste:
Air Liquide Laboratories is one of the main R&D centers of the Air Liquide group. Its goal is to develop new and innovative solutions for the entire Air Liquide group. Air Liquide Laboratories is located at Innovation Campus Tokyo, inaugurated in March 2019. The new facility promotes collaboration with customers, start-up companies and academic partners. It gathers researchers and workers from all around the world in order to promote a multicultural work environment and skills diversity. The Campus develops the latest thin film deposition and etching technologies for applications in electronics, batteries and fuel cells, as well as strategies and solutions for the entire supply chain, production, purification, storage, transportation and distribution of low carbon hydrogen.
To work under supervision of Group manager and closely communicate with the IM Business line on material science research topics, especially in the energy transition field and the battery field.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
You will contribute to this mission by…
Study the influence of various parameters (temperature, pressure, atmosphere) that could influence the property of electrode materials for battery applications.
Conduct synthesis of metal oxide based electrode materials with different morphologies and/or structures, and characterize these materials using standard techniques for battery applications
Data analysis and reporting (periodical R&D reports, patent applications, internal meetings, etc.)
Interact closely with internal and external customers to facilitate industrialization of new solutions/products
Respect and implement Air Liquide's safety rules and participate actively in continuous improvement of safety within Air Liquide Group.
Business Trips within the region might take place occasionally.
Are you a MATCH?

Experience in preparing slurries and casting electrodes, fabricating cells in a glovebox, and ideally also characterizing the materials (electrical cell testing, XRD, and SEM) is highly desired.
Majoring in materials science, electrochemistry, or related area with ideally experience in the field of rechargeable batteries (Li+, Na+, K+, etc)
Experienced in synthesis and characterization of metal oxides; direct experience with battery cathode materials (e.g. high Ni, Mn-rich) will be viewed as an advantage
Experience Required: previous internship experience in a similar field is highly desired.
Soft and Hard Skills:
Autonomous, proactive and being able to adapt to new situations, challenges and topics.
Team player, and willing to work in an international environment
