Five Arrows
Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co and has EUR28 billion of assets under management with offices in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Luxembourg. With over EUR10 billion of assets under management, the corporate private equity business of Five Arrows has a series of funds focused on investing in European and North American companies with highly defensible market positions; strong management teams; business models with high visibility of organic unit volume growth and strong unit economics; and multiple operational levers that can be used to unlock latent value. Sectors are limited to data and software, technology - enabled business services and healthcare.
The Operator Network Team is a critical part of the Five Arrows proposition, both pre- and post-deal. The team is responsible for managing and growing the Five Arrows Operator Network, a community of senior executives and sector specialists who work with Five Arrows throughout the investment cycle. We are now seeking to hire an ambitious intern to play a key role in supporting the development of the function.
Role & Responsibilities
* Provide specified input for presentations and other documents to support the team and broader talent agenda
* Help to continuously curate and improve the talent database, ensuring accurate data capture and analysis
* Support with building analysis tools to understand talent data
* Drive research efforts for key projects (e.g. building talent maps to source key individuals as required)
* Assist with organising initiatives to maintain and grow the Operator Network (e.g. hosting events)
* Attend internal and external calls and meetings as appropriate
* Developing relationship skills through exposure to senior colleagues and executives
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
* Outstanding academic track record (2:1 or above or equivalent)
* Previous experience at either a leading financial institutional, a top tier strategy consulting firm or professional services provider is preferred, but not essential
* Genuine interest in private equity with good commercial awareness
* Teamwork: ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams, lines of business and across geographical/cultural boundaries
* Good listening and communication skills
* Diligent and committed to excellence
* Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks at once
* Good computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently and take a high level of responsibility
* Fluent written and spoken English. A second language (e.g. French, German) is a plus, but not mandatory
