Descrizione del lavoro:

The MAISON DENIS Group is a leading player in the agri-food industry in Southeast Asia, recognized for its canned food products under the Ayam Brand label. The group's industrial and service hub is located in Taiping, Malaysia, which also serves as the base for the VIE position. The group's industrial sites produce approximately 80 million cans annually, primarily serving markets across Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, etc.), as well as key export regions such as Oceania, Europe, and North America, all under stringent quality standards. MAISON DENIS sources pelagic fish (such as sardines and mackerel) from around the world to meet the internal demands of its canneries. This involves substantial investment in sourcing premium raw materials and maintaining a strong presence throughout the supply chain, ensuring close collaboration and support for suppliers. The Procurement QA Inspector will oversee quality control along the entire raw material supply chain-from the supplier side through to final processing at our facilities. During the procurement season (typically from May to November), the inspector will travel frequently and on short notice due to the unpredictable nature of wild-caught raw materials. Travel will include visits to supply and fishing sites in countries such as Mexico, Morocco, China, Mauritania, Japan, and others. Key responsibilities include: 1) Quality control of raw materials and processing-either through direct inspection or assessment of suppliers' quality control teams 2) Auditing of processing facilities 3) Acting as the liaison with suppliers and the broader supply ecosystem 4) Managing information flow and ensuring value optimization of fish from catch to consumption Upon returning to Malaysia, the inspector will contribute in validating and cross-checking the quality and performance of raw materials selected in the field. This phase acts as a control point to ensure consistency between supplier-side inspections and actual processing outcomes at our facilities. It provides a feedback loop for continuous improvement across the procurement chain. Additionally, the inspector will contribute to a major industrial upgrade at our site, participating in the design and development of a new fish preparation plant, with a focus on quality assurance, industrial performance, and production efficiency. The VIE will report to the Fish Procurement Manager (based in Mexico) and the Fish Procurement Engineer (based in France). To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter in English

Requisiti del candidato:

The Procurement Quality Inspector should hold an Engineer or Master's degree in Agri-Food, Life Sciences, or a related field. Additional knowledge in international trade and logistics is welcome. Prior international experience-whether through internships or professional roles-is a strong asset, particularly if gained in the agri-food sector. Success in this role requires excellent integration skills within multicultural environments, along with strong analytical, organizational, and quality control capabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of responsibility, autonomy, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic and often unpredictable contexts. An affinity for fisheries and seafood products is a definite plus. Proficiency in English is essential (TOEIC score >800 or equivalent) while basic Spanish language skills are considered a plus
