About the job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales and Category Controller to join our Finance team. As a Sales and Category Controller, you will be the financial sparring partner for our Category and Sales team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our sales performance by providing accurate forecasting, managing monthly closing processes, offering strategic recommendations, and delivering valuable business insights to the business

Thanks to your financial analysis and insights, you will help, advise, and challenge the Sales and Category teams in their business decisions. You will also participate in ad hoc projects and analyses that bring added value to the company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
* Monthly Closing: Oversee the monthly closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and explain variances vs previous forecasts.
* Business Partnering: Provide strategic recommendations and concrete action plans to the business to optimize sales/ category performance and achieve business objectives. You also challenge the teams and support them with financial advice and financial foresights in their ambition and initiatives in line with the strategy of the company.
* Business Insight: You provide accurate financial information to the Danone community regarding the activities and drivers of growth: e.g. drivers of growth, variance analysis, margin analysis, analysis of opportunities and risks, investment analysis, efficiency gains, etc.

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

* A master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience (2-4 years) in controlling, financial analysis, or a similar role within the Food or FMCG industry.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
* A curious, proactive, a true problem solver mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in controlling tools: SAP, TTM, Blue Planner, Essbase, Power BI, Excel…
