Role description:
(COMPANY NAME) is currently seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Structural Design Engineer for a Full-Time Entry Level position in our Akron, Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, OH office. (COMPANY NAME)' Structural Group delivers "best in class" technical and innovative solutions to our clients on the design, delivery, and management of these critical structural resources to our state, municipal and design-build clients.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by some of the best technical professionals in the industry on projects that will impact infrastructure for years to come. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll participate in some of the most unique and exciting projects that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.
The role sits within our global business area of Mobility. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today's mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world's growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:

* Perform structural design calculations independently
* Participate in field inspections of bridges and structures
* Perform structural detailing utilizing Microstation, AutoCAD and related software packages
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
* Must have a Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or on schedule to be completed by May, 2025
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CADD related software packages such as Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD
* Experience with AASHTO LRFD
* Experience with ODOT bridge design policies and procedures
* Experience with structural engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), Midas Civil, RISA 3-D, Merlin-Dash, and MathCAD
* Prior internship or related experience

(COMPANY NAME) offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78.000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
