Position: Marketing Communications & Content Assistant - Internship
Workplace: (COMPANY NAME) Australia head office - Sydney
Availability: 6 months
Starting date: June 22nd 2020 preferable

Our interns receive an allowance of 1000AUD per month.
Upon successful completion of the 6 month placement, a reimbursement of 2000AUD is also given.
12 annual leave days may be taken throughout the internship.

Position overview:

Calling all social media lovers and creative experts! Ever dreamed about using social media and public relations to promote some of the world's most beautiful destinations as part of your internship? Do you have strong communication skills and a good eye for design? Do you love travel? We want to hear from you! Born out of a passion for creating happiness, (COMPANY NAME) has been reinventing the holiday experience since 1950. As the creator of the all-inclusive concept, the Kids Club, and CREATIVE by Cirque du Soleil, (COMPANY NAME) continues to find new ways to bring happiness to people around the world. We have more than 65 sun and snow resorts globally, ranging from the Maldives to the magnificent French Alps.
We are on the hunt for our next Marketing Assistant, aka Social Media, PR and Content Wiz! As part of your six month internship, you'll work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to engage users on social media, send journalists and influencers to discover our beautiful holiday destinations, and produce fun unique content for use across our channels.

Key responsabilities:

Mission 1: Social Media
* Leverage (COMPANY NAME)'s earned content (influencer imagery, client testimonials) as well as owned content (blog, internal photoshoots and videos) across social channels
* Create and roll out the social media plan for (COMPANY NAME) Australia's Facebook and blog
* Creation of creative & conversational post captions relevant to the Australian market & tone of voice
* Create reports on social media performance + keep up to date with industry benchmarks and developments
* Liaise with in-resort staff for content creation aligning with company briefs & requirements
* Liaise with content creators in-resort to produce relevant and timely content for the Australian market
* Manage content creation (including design) and some customer relations

Mission 2: Public Relations and Content Marketing
* Liaise with the PR agency to secure influencer and journalist for our resorts
* Assist in the ongoing strategy and execution of PR activity, including but not limited to press releases, spike campaigns and the annual plan
* Reporting on monthly PR activity

Mission 3: Content Marketing
* Create & edit videos as briefed by the marketing team for campaigns for (COMPANY NAME) & other social media activities
* Assist in creating new content ideas for the (COMPANY NAME) blog using you own knowledge and content from influencers
* Keep content up-to-date with updates from (COMPANY NAME)'s internal multimedia library and from influencers
* Assist on creating content for the monthly email newsletters

Mission 4: Other projects and ad hoc duties
* Proactively participate in marketing meetings and put forward relevant ideas
* Update prospect/client databases
* Provide support where necessary to other staff members to ensure the success of the project
* Research & benchmark on current best practices from tourism and lifestyle

Professionally, you possess:

* Experience working/interning within a fast-paced role, delivering quality content for marketing communication
* A degree in journalism, marketing, communications, and/or graphic design is a plus
* Advanced English skills and the ability to adapt to Australia's unique tone of voice
* Experience working with social media platforms, particularly Facebook Intermediate Photoshop experience. Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite platforms and video editing skills is also a plus
* Strong creative eye and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask, manage your own time and workload, work autonomously, and meet deadlines
