If returning, I would choose: On campus

Why? The main disadvantages of the campus life was high costs and no kitchens, so i could not cook although i really like to. But still, i would close my eyes on it in case of a return because renting an apartment in Paris could be even more expensive, the way from Paris to the school would get 40-60 mins without a car. And living in campus gives you lots of opportunities: quick integration and adaptation, lots of new friends, support, doing sport etc.

Personal comments:
Well, the housing was really clean, and light, a bit small either. But i like how the space was organized: long desk for studying, wardrobes, some shelves from Ikea, a draw under the bed, a common door for the room and a bathroom. Yeah, by the way, i was luck cause i had private bath room and toilet, as most of the students had to share there bath between 2 people, and had common toilet - 1 in each floor. As i told, i did not like there were no kitchens, and the food in the canteen was not the best, actually =)) We had to eat something typical for French - like "bloody beefs" etc )) haha. And there were many opportunities for doing sport: volleyball, tennis, jogging etc. What is very important for me either. I think it is good the campus is located out of the city, as the weather is much warmer than in St.Petersburg, and living in the city would be too stuffy.

Why? Because the school is totally outside of Paris, next to a really small village, so there isn't another choice if you don't want to drive 1 hour to the school each morning.

Personal comments:
- As the accomodition was on the campus, it never took me more than 5 minutes to arrive to the class. - I really missed a common area to meet other students, to watch television, etc... and also a kitchen! Or at least a fridge. - And I also missed a shop for foods or drinks on the campus - But a good thing: there was a cleaning lady to clean regularly every room! - The room was quite expensive for me (2250 FF/month), being a Hungarian, so as a result of long discussions with the residence and the financial service, I managed to share a room with an other friend. So it's possible, but be tough! In France, nothing is simple...

Why? Because in my home university I have never lived on campus and is an excellent experience as you are allways in touch with the rest of students and you can learn a lot from them and aldo from yourself

The room space was pretty good but it lacked a common space in the building to share with others.

Why? Because of the facilities and the campus environment

Personal comments:
Accomodation was good on campus with many facilities indoors and outdoors. rooms withs internet access, telephone, bathrooms and so on. Classrooms are two feet from the residential halls all on a very green campus area.

Why? The campus is far from Paris downtown (25km). It's easier to live in the campus. There are pretty good sport facilities and you can met with other french or exchange students there.

It was a clean single room with table, chairs and internet connection for laptops.

Why? The remote location of the Campus and the immidiate access to everything from being on Campus.

Personal comments:
I would however consider the fact that the shower is shared with the closest neighbor, OK, and that the toilets are 3 for 30+ people, without sinks, DISGUSTING.

Why? Because you do not have to travel to go to lessons and it allows you to know people and to get integreted.

The accomodation was quite good. My bedroom is old and the wall paper is broken...but I saw other rooms and they are very good....

Why? Living on the Campus is what all the students did and it enabled getting to know people and participating in Campus activities

I enjoyed it very much. It was close to my studies and friends, and I had my own room.

Why? It was nice to live on campus even though it's far away from Paris.

There are no other possibilities than the dorms on campus. Everybody is staying there, apart from the ones that have an apartment in Paris.

Generally, well organised and clean. Rooms were big and although the campus was not in Paris, in itself it was quite nice and cosy.

Why? There is a very intense student life, and it can be only enjoyed if you live on campus, even if the campus is away from Paris.

You have a single room pretty confortable the only proble is sharing the shower with one or two pepole
