Queen's University review by Laura
HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Student Co-operative Housing Association
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Student Co-operative Housing Association
Why? It gave you the opportunity to meet such a wide variety of people from all over the world.
Personal comments:
The co-op was an ideal place for an exchange student to live, as it gave you an instant social circle and plenty of support. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and it felt just like a home away from home. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Alfies, Stooleys and the QP were regular haunts, as were the Irish pubs. We also regularly had to stop off at Tim Horton's for coffee and doughnuts :) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
English, my native language, was the main language of the host country and the university so there were never any difficulties. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
No, I think our exchange office briefed us regarding everything we needed to know, and we had a good support network out there. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I'd definitely encourage people to go. They have an excellent system in place for exchange students so that you're made to feel at home very quickly and all the administration is carried out quickly and without any problems. FINAL COMMENTS
Kingston makes a great base for exploring the East Coast of Canada and the States. See as much as you can! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
