Description:
Through experiences in transnational mobility promoted by Community programmes such as Socrates/Erasmus, the University of Catania has been experimenting with new and valuable forms of inter-university educational cooperation, which have given an ever- growing number of our students the possibility of learning, discovering new horizons and improving their knowledges in other European Union member states. At the same time, we have hosted many European students, who have had the opportunity to benefit from a wide and variegated range of studies within our structures, but also from an intense and rewarding social life in our town.

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because it was a great place to stay and you had lots of contact with Italian students
Personal comments:
Satisfactory in every way! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
We used to hang out at the 999 (bar). Not that special, really, but that was were we went. Not to be missed are the city of Catania itself and the myriads of places on and around Sicily that are worth a trip. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
We had our fixed courses (diritto penale minorile)and could not choose courses. The fact that the courses were 3 hours at a time and held in Italian certainly did not make things easier for the foreign students.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
shorter periods for courses predominantly taken by foreign students. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Nope In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Since I had finished all relevant courses at my home university, the courses I took at the Italian University really didn't matter. What made this a truly great experience were not the courses but all the international people I met. FINAL COMMENTS
Do it! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
