Prices are higher than in Madrid, but no so much. If you wanna have a good price for accomodation, search a lot, as we did (a whole week from su to sun, almost). Brussels is very well situated in order to travel abroad: France, Holland, Germany, the UK. Don't miss Carnival in Köln (Cologne), neither forget Go-Pass within Belgium. There's a lot of Cheap travels for youngsters. Look the Pub at ULB.

I'm not smoker, but I had friends who were. Be prepared for high prices for this. In order to buy food, Street Markets are the cheapest solution, and in general. Some shops are not open on Sundays, even bakeries.

Accomodation was a little expensive but i lived in a nice apartemnet; Travel, i spent a lot because i was in the heart of europe and i couldn't not to take the oppurtunity to visit a lot of place.For food and nightlife i spent almost the same respct to Rome, the telehone was really expensive

No big suprises, it was just a bit more expensive than at my home country. If you travel around - inform yourself about special offers or book in advance

Because at home I live with my parents and I don't have to pay housing, nor telephone. Also Brussels is more expensive in food and travelling than Madrid.
