Final comments
You can come from Orlando : 2hrs by car, Tampa 2hrs by car. I don't recommend to come from Miami because the Greyhound buses are quite slow and it's 5 hours far. You can land directly in Gainesville without problem. Prepare or a first night at the hotel if you don't know anybody there because air companies may be very late on their schedule, like 8hrs for me...

All the clubs and cafes are forced to close at 2.00am wich is pretty early. I would recommend the Palace as a good Dance Floor.
