HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because I wouldn't have to share a toilet and kitchen with four other people.
Personal comments:
The room I was assigned to was very spacious, and the toilet and kitchen were a couple of steps away from the room. It was easy to meet people in the building because most people would hang out in the common rooms. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Just a couple of places: the School of Art union, the State pub, the Flare... and many others. I didn't expected that I could miss a city like Glasgow som much. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Don't mix up courses too much.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
My home unievrsity gives a strong theoretic preparation. Univeristies in UK seem to be more pragmatic. The optimum is a mid way This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
It was pretty good after the first month because at the beginning I was not used to listen to so different language. Also in Glasgow there's a slang not easy to understand at a first approach. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
