Many Danish students continued to speak in DANISH even after their teachers asked them to speak in English, as our classes were in English. They even protested having to work with international students in groups. I found that very offensive, and chose to stay with international students. However, there were also many nice Danish students.. you just have to be lucky in who you meet. Anyway, emphasis is placed on group work so make sure you choose wisely because there will be a lot of work!

Some of the projects were quite hard, but teachers were usually very helpful. I preferred classes that did not put 100% of the grade on an exam. But you can choose what type of grading you want in a class before you register, so you will know beforehand how you will be graded.

I would recommend to apply as soon as possible to courses since the cool ones can get pretty fast overbooked. As for the subjects I chose, I took three subjects which were far from what I was taking in my home country. They were not about numbers and calculations niether programming. But still they had something in common with the IT world. All three subjects I highly recommend for people who would like to have a rest from programming and mathematics for a while and have some more time to see more of the country. Standardization in Telecommunication: It is about standards in our everyday life. Intranet in the Virtual organization: also interesting subject about communication between people using the intranet. Strategy and Planning: this is a good subject if you are planning to manage a company some day. As for the rest of the programs I chose Real Time Systems. Noe here there is a little more of thinking but it is a very interesting subject about automatas. Embedded Systems: This is a subject I would prefer not to have. Lectures are boring however the labs are interesting but still a lot of electronics and cables which is not for me

I'm very satisfied with all the things right here. But if I would have had to stay more than 6 monthes here then I would have prefered to pay some more money and get a better place to live in. You know with some higher standard Microwave,TV,a better looking toilet.

The approachability of lecturers varied greatly - some were fantastic and always ready to help out with whatever problems you had whilst others were very reluctant to help when you really needed it.

Inform incoming students of the volume of work expected of them in a single course, to earn the credits I required at my home university I had to take 6 courses, which proved difficult in terms of studying for exams and completion of coursework throughout the semester. Perhaps if I had known about the amount of coursework involved I could have arranged to take fewer classes whilst on exchange.

All the engineering courses that I had taken were pretty good, and interesting. Some of them could have been more fun, but generally there was no problem.

As we international students had various experiences of how to study, it did take a while to get into the Danish way of studying. More guidance would have been nice, especially as there is so much else in the country that foreigners are seeing - as well as the studying!

There wasn't a big range of courses in my area (software), so I just studied random subjects (e.g. logistics and transport, international development co-operation). It was a bit hard to engage with the local students, they were a bit reserved.

I wasn't really there to study, so it was fine. It would be nice if the Danish students were a bit more open. :)

The curriculum should be updated according to the new opening courses. So far we have a rather odd rule. Students rarely can earn official credits by taking the new announced courses. It is simply because these courses did not exist on the fixed curriculum at the time they were admitted.
