The exchange rate of the US Dollar and the Euro effects the amount I spend on most items. Also, prices of common consumer goods are slightly higher in Clermont-Ferrand compared to Lawrence, Kansas. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food, Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
The travel expenses in Europe surprised me. If you are over 25 years of age, travel will be expensive. Search extensively for special travel offers. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

In France if we rent an appartment we can get a monthly help (in my case almost 50% of the rent)from the social security system. See details in www.caf.fr This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
