Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I prefer living with people of my own choice and in an apartment/house that I have chosen after having seen it. I also want to live in the center of town rather than on campus.
Personal comments:
Since I arranged accomodation on my own, with the help of friends who were already living in Barcelona, I am generally very happy with where I lived. However, living standards are not comparable to those in Sweden and Barcelona is not a very cheap city to live in, if you want to stay in the center. The reason I chose to look for my own accomodation was mainly because the UAB campus is located outside of Bcn and I preferred to live in the center. Type of housing: Flatsharing community
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Flatsharing community
Why? If you live in a flatsharing community, you live with other people, often even from different countries. Therefore, you learn more about other countries and as well about yourself as you have to arrange your style of life with the one of the others.
Personal comments:
The housing of the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona is pretty good although it is on campus, and as I am as an exchange student only staying for one year, I prefer to live close to the center. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? For me house is just a place to sleep, the most important thing is the people you are living with, and they were great.
Personal comments:
I think uni provides some amount of rooms for students, but I wouldn't count on this. You'll probably have to look for a place by yourself. It might take you a while, so be prepared to live in a hostel/hotel for a week or so. The reasonable price for a nice exterior room without additional payments is 300-400 €/month This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I just prefer to do these things independently and find a place i know i will like
Personal comments:
The campus is well out of town, half an hour at least, and so living in the student village on campus just didnt appeal. I think most rooms were shared as well, which is not ideal. You can get them to find you a host family, but i went independently, as did practically everyone else i met, and its definitely better i reckon This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? because the campus that uab offers looks like depressing and is out of the center of barcelona
Personal comments:
the housing that uab offers is sharing rooms (not flat), if you don't have problems with this it can be ok. It stays outside of the center but close to university.. it's what you think is most important being close to the city or to the university.. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? Because it gives you more freedom and allows you to meet more people and speak the foreign language.
Personal comments:
I was living in the centre of Barcelona, staying with spanish people,it was difficult at the start but it got easier and is definetly the best way to meet new people and to improve a foreign language. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? I live in a shared appartment and my flatmates are just great! Like a second family!
Personal comments:
The accomodation offered by the uni is expensive and the main problem is that you have to share your bedroom. Plus, the Universitat Autonoma is very far from BCN centre, not very convenient! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? I stayed at a small town near the university campus; living in Barcelona would have been much better and the price, surprisingly, about the same.
Personal comments:

Why? The university campus is really far from the center of Barcelona, like 30km. You will enjoy much more your experience ir you're living in the center. you will find prices in range of 300 to 400 (normal erasmus houses) depending on the location, facilities and so
