Why? The ERASMUS experience should be lived in community, with other foreign and native italian students so that we can make a deeper cultural exchange.
Personal comments:
It's very difficult to find a house in Genoa. There are no campus, the University doesn't get involved.. Because of this, the landlords get advantage of the needing situation of the students, specially ERASMUS.

Why? Because I was able to live with my friends and to have my own time and space. Although it would have been good to live with a family or italians as I would have learnt the language better.
Personal comments:
The accomodation that we found was very good. It was in a pleasant area on a main bus route, and the house was big, clean and contained full facilities.

Housing was okay, but more expansive than in Germany. The organisation of accomodation by university staff was badly organised

Why? Because I was living with students anda I am used to live like that. You must pay you counts and clean your place. You are free to do wath you want, it's you place, so...

It was an apartment that I divided with tree more friend and it was a nice place. I had tram and train station not so far.

Why? In my opinion, the best way to get to know a different culture is to live within a family.

The Foreign Students' Office is very well organized, helps the students with administrative things like the permission of stay etc. and also occupies itself with the students' integration on campus.
