Why? I stayed at Crombie Johnston before moving to Hillhead,- in both places the living space is crowded and you might not click with your five flatmates
Personal comments:
Hillhead is a fitting place for a first year student, access to lots of rowdy students and partying, also in close proximity to the Don river and the beach if you like to go running in the morning. Also Northcourt or Southhouse have the best rooms, a little more expensive but worth it compared to the shite catered flats.

Why? Hillhead is crammed with youngish(17-18 year olds) students who realy like to party. If that's your goal, Hillhead is your place, if you prefer to live with a little more mature students, a flat from somewhere else will be better(and cheaper, is most cases)
Personal comments:
Housing was rather okay, considering. The campus flats are quite old and rather run down. Rooms are a little cold during the winter but the staff is very friendly and helpful and overall its not too bad.

Why? Is still one of the cheapest solution and easy to find when you're stranger. Also a good way to know other people.
Personal comments:
Frightening when you are used to something else, but overall good experience : there is what you need and not what you don't need

The accomodation was acceptable, although it could have been better. I was in a residence flat with other five flatmates from Scotland ant other countries. I think it was a very enjoying experience.

Why? You can know so much people from all over the world if you live at Hillhead! Don't miss out that opportunity.
Personal comments:
There are different kinds of housing, but they are all pretty expensive. Prepare yourselve to spend at least 220 pounds for housing. However you will find out it is worth it if what you are looking for is to socialize with people!

Why? There would have been less hassle with other residents, subwardens, and porters to deal with.
Personal comments:
They only provide accommodation for first year and international students, and it's pretty poor at that. The student 'village' where they put you is pretty far from campus and the staff is not the most helpful in the world.

Why? Because it is convenient to leave here. We have all we need here. Furthermore a lot of international students are living here too, so it is easier to meet international students and to build friendship.
