Why? Dorms are nice, but sometimes more space would be nice.

I was in a graduate hall. This halls are quiet but it's not so easy to meet somebody.

My dorm in the states was more expensive than at home and I wouldn't travel for weeks.
Travel, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Food, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.

I had an American Bank Account, but you have to count on some charges when you transfer money form abroad.
