HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? it allows you have everything that you need near you and meet more people.
Personal comments:
i was living in a townhouse on campus and it's like liiving in your own house, you can cook and have your place clean and tidy. But if you have to live in a dorm it is a little more uncomfortable. From my experience, the housing was really good but i guess if i were living in a dorm i wouldn't have the same opinion This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Viva is the best place if you are international student, it is the meeting pont for Brown, Johnson and walles and Bryant students. Karta bar is also a good choice. Both are in Thayer street in the Brown university area. Bomabay club is the best for indian food if you like this kind of menu. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
it was hard at the beginning bc you feel fustraction when you are not able to communicate so good as you used to do ti in your own language but i didn't have any problem to talk and communicate to people. People in general try to understand you and are patient with you. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I wish I had known...
i had to expend a lot of money. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
try to adapt your life to their way of life, US is quite diferent. envolve yourself as much as you can in all the activities of the college, you will have many things to do but just if you put the effort on it FINAL COMMENTS
travel to boston, it is really nice. Don't forget the city...NY. The weather is really cold in winter, be ready for freezing temperatures. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
