More was spent on communication because cell phones have added charges in Canada. Nightlife was an added expense because at home I have more of an idea where to go for less. I would say that life in Montreal is a bit cheaper than in most european countries. Going out is less expensive and you will surely spare money with the appartement. You will fastely see that Concordia likes your money. You'll have to pay for everything you ask them. It is because Canadian Universities lack money since the governement is decreasing its grants.
