Personal comments:
First of all, on campus there were lots of funs moments, as it has Campus Village, Cellar Bar on tuesdays, Red House parties every month and Kampsax student residence parties on thursdays. In Copenhagen, The Moose bar is very good to have some beers and chat with friends, Kulor Bar on fridays was very cheap (perfect for students, as Copenhagen is expensive), Copenhagen Business School parties on thursdays were very cool, and finally LA Bar, a disco-pub, not large, but near The Moose. For sightseeing, I recommend to visit Vor Frelsers Kirke church, near Christiania, and to go up to its highest point, were you can have a good view of Copenhagen. Also, Carlsberg museum is quite good, were you can taste 2 beers for 5€ (in 2006). Don't forget to visit Tivoli in Christmas!!!

Personal comments:
DTU had a few parties throughout the semester that were held on campus. These were helpful in allowing us to meet others. However, afterwards, most of my travel and nightlife was done with my own friends, and we had to figure out how to do that ourselves. Copenhagen is not far away from DTU and it is great for nightlife. Travel from Denmark is quite costly, but I was able to go around Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic and Austria in my time there. Best advice: do as much as you can during the summer months, because once winter hits, the weather is too bad to do much.

well the real insiders are only for insiders and will not be distributed on the web. Bumping arround copenhagen you will come accross bars: MOOSE (cheap beer on thursdays and Saturdays), Student house ( allways crowded on wednesdays), Zoo Bar (wildest parties on wednesday and Fiydays) The whole street Istedgade is packed with good bars; Night clubs: Rust, Vega, Stengade 30. Of course you don't want to miss CHRISTIANIA. Copenhagen Jazzfestival, Filmfestival....... I'm tired of typing now. go and explore the city!!!

Personal comments:
All my cultural and social life was done around Copenhagen once that Lyngby is a quite "dead" city. Me and my friends, we felt that the tranportantions were so good in Denmark, that easly we were going to Copenhagen to see an exabition duriong the afternoon, or listening a Jazz Concert on the evening, for example. Was just like living down town, in a town full of events. I went to several concerts in "Vega", from Lamb to Air, Goten Project, great groups. Is also a city full of places for the jazz fans, I went several times to "la Fontaine" on sundays for the jam session (and is for free!) For an ecletic environment and a pint of beer, the best place that i'd found is called "The Moose", on thurdays and saturdays the beer is half of the price, the bad new is that most of the times is too crowded. From my experience, I think is a town full of places to find, and for all tastes.

I think all the place in Copenhagen are really great to go out. The bar "Moos" is a great place to drink cheap beer and meet people on Thursday and Saturday nights but quite croudy all the time. For the discos, I think that the Australian bar is good, as Vega. But it really depends on the moment so that the best is to go and have a look for instant information.

All the international students go to the Moose, the Student House and the Cellar Bar but there are lots of other places around Copenhagen like Vega, Bar Fly (pretty ordinary), ice skating on Kongens Nytorv, Cafe Sorgenfri, the 20kr all-you-can-eat pizza place, Hilleroed, Stockholm, Lofoten islands in Norway, anywhere, it doesn't matter, the company is much more important and you'll have plenty of good company from the other international students, especially in the Spring semester. The best thing was probably just the student parties around DTU and in the containers.

There are so many things to see in Copenhagen, or in Denmark. I just make a list about my first thoughts: 1. There was a bar for international students+IAESTE trainees every tuesday in Kælderbar. It was just great. 2. I liked kollegium parties, which were quite often on schedule. In Egmont, there was a thursday bar every week, and there were other parties all the time. Especially the ones we had to dress in. 3. Park cafe 4. Europa cafe 5. Mokka cafe 6. So many small bars 7. And I learned playing Backgammon in Denmark, and I can't stop playing it.

A pub called Moose is the best place to drink cheap beer and find wonderful people. You cannot missed Nyhavn when everybody is having a nice sunny afternoon with beer and friends.

The DTU cellar bar was great fun on Tuesday nights. The Studenter Huset in København was great, especially on Wednesdays. The whole of the city was generally fun to go around and there was always a club or pub that we could to if we wanted. The late opening hours of the pubs and clubs took a bit of getting used to, as the next day often involved sleeping!

turesday nights devoted to the on campus bar for 'international student night' - great for meeting other students & organising the weekend parties - thursdays at park cafe, weekends at vega or wherever the party was... for quieter times the turtle cafe near jorges passage had good bands and great food!

I haven't discovered anything here by my own. It's enough to get to know other internationals and you'll have a full schedule of parties and events. Student houses have there own discotheques,Copenhagen is full of them and DTU has it's own club which also organizes a lot of parties
