Personal comments:
French people in general don't speak English very well, and as my level of French is limited it got quite complicated sometimes. The best way of learning a new language is living in the country, and at the end of my stay I felt that I was able to handle the French language pretty ok. Most of my professors at school were English or American, so I think that I also improved my level of English during the stay.

Personal comments:
Would have loved more contact with the locals in order to improve on my language skills. And the teachers should probably have demanded us foreigners to write our exams and essays in French but with a milder rate of evaluation so that we really would have dared to. Now we got better grades by writing in English.

People speak a lot of French but can easily help you in English at the school, but one of the reasons for choosing France was to improve my French language skills, which I did! Outside school people were in general nice and understanding if I missed a word, but i did not have real troubles!
