If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because once I know the city and some people, an apartment is more confortable.

Because when you live abroad, your calls are more expensives, you travell more. And in Paris live is more expensive. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
