Small university, different system: it's a private school, teaching methods and life in campus are very different.

Clermont Ferrand it's a small city and despite to Paris it's not very well connected (by train) to other cities.

Try to get in touch more with the French to get local friendship.

explain earlier and clearer the way of choosing courses for the second semester

If you want to travel a lot, Clermont isn't the best place to be 'cause busses,trains and planes are connected with lyon and not with clermont.

I recommend ESC Clermont-Ferrand, however, if you are not fluent in French than your course choices are seriously limited.
