Although the room and facilities were sufficient, there was lack of an area within the building to meet one and other. The location was great thought, only 10 min from the center by foot!

Why? Because I've to pay the same price for an apartment at the campus with less space.

I lived in a beutiful apartment not far from the university and the beach, so it was amazing.

Why? Real student houses do not exist on campus nor at La Rochelle. But in town and not far away from the campus you can find lots of holiday apartment houses that are rent to students during the winter (very expensive!) Next time I would prefer sharing an independent apartment with other students.
Personal comments:
University offers all addresses needed for accomodation in La Rochelle but no other support. It is up to you to find a place to stay. When you arrive just before university starts (september) it is already too late to find a flat or to get an apartment in one of the holiday residences. Most of the French students already start searching before the summer holidays and the holiday residences have special entry deadlines.

Why? The accomodation was in the perfect location, about 100 metres from school, 15 mins walk to town and 5 mins walk to beach.
